GET READY FOR RESTORATION

"And Abimelech took sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and womenservants, and gave them unto Abraham, and restored him Sarah his wife" (Genesis 20:14).

In every place where restoration occurred in the Bible, it is usually associated with additional provisions that will enhance the value of the item restored. It is like an interest added to the principal to compensate for the loss or denials you have suffered. But the beautiful thing is that in the economy of God, the added interest typically exceeds the value of the principal.

Therefore, when God promises restoration, it simply means huge provision is coming for you. There are some examples in the scriptures that confirm this. When God commanded Abimelech to restore Abraham's wife, he did so, not only by returning Sarah to her husband, but he also added "sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and womenservants, and gave them unto Abraham" (Genesis 20:14). Joseph not only commanded to restore his brothers' money, he also instructed to "fill their sacks with corn..., and to give them provision for the way" (Genesis 42:25).

Please get it clear. The season of restoration is the era of abundant provision for God's people. For Naomi, restoration came with provisions to guarantee her nourishment unto old age (Ruth 4:15). David got back all that the Amalekites took away with extra stuff to give as gifts to the elders of Judah (1 Samuel 30:26-31).

Even in the law of Moses, for every one item that is stolen from you, you must receive it back fivefold in the hour of restoration (Exodus 22:1). In this season of restoration, God will greatly surpass your expectations and desires in Jesus mighty name.

The important inference to draw here is that God's restoration program is designed, not only to give back what you lost or have been denied, but to actually give you something better to enhance your life. God wants to make things better for you and lift you to a higher level of life.

Restoration is much more than you becoming what you used to be. It's about you becoming better than you have ever been. And all of this is to be accomplished through the power of God almighty, the great restorer. May the God of restoration visit you speedily with abundant provisions in Jesus name.
