Integrity is at the very heart of the Christian life. Without it, it will be difficult, if not impossible, to have a meaningful relationship and a sustainable walk with God. I wager that you cannot lack integrity and be a true Christian at the same time. Integrity is respect for the truth at all times both in public and in private. It is an unfailing commitment to deal honestly with all and in all. Thus we can say that integrity is that character in a man which makes him dependable, reliable and trustworthy.

Here are four serious warning signs of a toxic church.

Gossip

Gossip is one of the most destructive things we do as a society. It slanders people’s names, it assassinates their character, and it is whispering behind other’s backs, however it should never be heard in any church at all. When you hear gossip, you know that you’re probably being gossiped about too. Gossip can split churches, ruin relationships, and bring down even the strongest of churches.

Tearing Down

I remember reading about a huge church in Dallas, Texas that argued and debated over something and finally the church split in half. What was the issue? The division was over the color of the carpet in the entryway to the church. Imagine how grieved Jesus must be when Christians tear down one another over trivial matters. Jesus suffered, was beaten, tortured, and put to death…and some can’t even agree on the color of a carpet? When you see a church dividing and arguing over non-essentials, that church is too toxic to attend.

EVERYTHING ABOUT HIM IS GREAT

"For the LORD your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward" (Deuteronomy 10:17). 

A songwriter wrote recently, saying, everything written about God is great. Very true. Indeed, everything we read, hear and know about Him is great. It cannot be otherwise because we are talking about the almighty God whose name is great and whose power is awesomely great. He is called the God of gods and the Lord of lords because He is greater than all gods and lords. Everything about Him can only be in the positive superlatives. 

BREAKING NEWS: DON'T MISS THIS CALL!

Jesus Christ is calling. He is calling you and me. He is calling everybody. His promise is to give us rest. The rest that Jesus promises is complete and all-encompassing. It is a refreshing rest that brings recovery of every good thing that had been lost. It is a rest that offers respite from whatever makes life difficult or unbearable for you. It is a rest that relieves from all kinds of weariness, whether it is of the spirit, the soul, or the body. It is a rest that brings complete peace of mind, tranquility to the soul and health to the body. And of course, it is a rest from the burden of sin.

BOMB SHELL BY PSTR E.A ADEBOYE : DON'T MARRY A GIRL WHO CAN'T PRAY FOR 1HR

Enoch Adeboye, general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has advised youths of the church against marrying girls who are weak in prayers.

Fondly referred to as ‘Daddy GO’, Adeboye told young people at the ongoing annual convention of the church that a girl must be able to pray non-stop for at least an hour before being considered for marriage.

He also advised members of the church not to marry lazy girls or girls who cannot cook.

“Marry a prayer warrior! Any girl who cannot pray for one hour non-stop, don’t marry her,” he said.

“Don’t marry a girl who is lazy! You pay her family a surprise visit, and you see how she is doing… If she is lazy when she is single, what would happen if she is married?
