TOTAL FOCUS NOW - NO OTHER OPTION

"If they had been thinking with [homesick] remembrance of that country from which they were emigrants, they would have found constant opportunity to return to it.
But the truth is that they were yearning for and aspiring to a better and more desirable country, that is, a heavenly [one]. For that reason God is not ashamed to be called their God [even to be surnamed their God--the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob], for He has prepared a city for them" (Hebrews 11:15-16).
A fundamental principles of the Christian faith is that even though we
live on the earth, we are expected to be heavenly focused.
This should not come as a surprise because the kingdom we are called to be a part of is the kingdom of God, the kingdom of heaven. This principle has been there even in the Old Testament where we see the
Patriarchs of old longing for a 'heavenly' city. And when Jesus Christ came, He made
it clear that His kingdom is not of this world (John 18:36).
Therefore, if the kingdom of God would be actualised in a believer, his focus in life must be heavenly.
But you could have a heavenly focus and yet miss out on the kingdom.
Thinking and talking about heaven all the time would not be enough to get you there. For example, Moses was well focused on the Promised Land, a type of heaven, but he did not get there. Terah set out with a focus on Canaan but got to Haran and settled down
(Genesis 11:31-32).
Lot's wife began the race out of Sodom with a focus on the land of her deliverance, but she looked back and never got to her
destination.
There are many Christians who talk about heaven, sing about heaven, act and watch films about heaven, giving us an all round
impression that they have a heavenly focus. Yet their body language is grossly earthy, being so taken in by earthly things like Terah and Lot's wife.
They are so comfortable in such environments that do not remind them of their chosen focus and they think nothing of hanging out with friends who don't propel them towards their divine destination. For some others, their lives are full of anger like Moses and they are without any strong commitment to manage their emotional weakness. They fail to mortify their members that are on the earth as required by the Scriptures and refuse to cut off from them those things that are causing them to sin (Colossians 3:5-8).
So friends, what are the things you need to cut off so that you may ultimately have some fruits to show for your heavenly focus? I know that cutting certain things off could be either painful or difficult, but if you are serious about the kingdom, if your desire for the kingdom to come in your life is genuine, now is the time to cut off whatever could cut you out of the kingdom or cut short your fruits in the kingdom. As you enter a new phase of life, do so with a commitment to labour in the direction of the heavenly focus you have chosen. If you have a heavenly focus and you work towards it, the Bible says God will not be ashamed to be called your God, and He will be much more committed to helping you make it.

What is your interest? comfort or commitment!

"Jesus said to them, My food (nourishment) is to do the will (pleasure) of Him Who sent Me and to accomplish and completely finish
His work" (John 4:34, Amplified).

Jesus and His disciples had been on a journey for a while and now became hungry and weary. When they got to the entrance of Samaria, the disciples offered to go into the city to buy some food while Jesus would take some needed rest. By the time they returned, they found Jesus deeply engaged in the Father’s business of touching lives and saving souls. They sought to disengage Him from His present pursuit, urging Him to take some meal because He was hungry.
They were shocked when Jesus responded with the above quoted text. But by that statement, Jesus was saying that His personal comfort was not as important as His commitment to the divine assignment
placed before Him.
Friends, God is more interested in your commitment than your comfort.
I heard a preacher say this and it made a lot of sense to me. God values greatly your commitment to the Kingdom more than your comfort in the Kingdom. That lesson is sorely missing in today's brand of self-centred Christianity. God is well pleased with you when you are strongly dedicated to and actively working for the advancement of His Kingdom rather than being chiefly concerned about your personal comfort and pleasures. When you put your comfort above your commitment
to God and His purpose, you set yourself up on a collision course with the Lord. The endpoint of that is always disastrous. Eve
will tell you more about that, for she sacrificed her commitment to God's instructions on the altar of dietary pleasures (Genesis 3:6) . The rest of humanity is yet to recover from that monumental gaffe.
It was the preoccupation with matters of comfort and pleasures above God's purpose for their lives that denied the children of
Israel the opportunity of entering the Promised Land. They had placed their want
for leeks and onions above their need for liberty and freedom.
They wanted food more than they wanted God and they were more committed to their baking pots than the saving Lord. In the end, the pleasures they sought did not provide the freedom they needed and they
all perished in the wilderness.
A major lesson we must learn from the children of Israel is that your commitment to God and His plans is a lot more beneficial
even for your own life than your comfort. In other words, you will derive more from
being committed to God than from pursuing your personal pleasures. For instance, your commitment can take you to the greatest
heights and ultimately to heaven. Your comfort won't do such for you. Commitment in any sphere of life will promote you and bring you honour, not just among men, but also with God. God gave a testimony concerning the man Caleb in Numbers 14:24. While others were busy running after manna, Caleb was committed to running after God. In the end, it paid off because all those who chose to stay in their comfort zone, pursuing bread and butter died in the wilderness. But Caleb made it
triumphantly into the Promised Land. With your commitment in place,
only the best will be your portion and you will make it in Jesus Christ's mighty name.

IMPOSSIBLE, YOU CAN'T SIT ON THE FENCE!

"This is war, and there is no neutral ground. If you’re not on my side, you’re the enemy; if you’re not helping, you’re making things
worse” (Luke 11:23, The Message).

I have often heard people say that life is full of battles. In the part of the world where I come from, that is considered an understatement. Among my people, the correct position is that life is in itself full scale warfare. This view appears to be more
consistent with the Bible. For instance, the book of Ephesians chapter Six referred to in our passage for further reading tells us
severally about the warfare we are constantly engaged in, urging us to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. We are reminded that this war is not necessarily "against flesh and blood, but
against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high
places" (Ephesians 6:12). For this reason, we are instructed to put on the whole armour
of God.
But few realise that in the battle between God and Satan, in the contest between the forces of light and darkness, there is no middle position. You are either for God or you are against Him.
You are either a destroyer or a promoter of the works of darkness.
There is nothing like being neither for nor against in this matter. If you do not declare for God, you have already declared for Satan. If you have not pledged your allegiance to the Lord, it is reckoned that you are working for the devil to destroy the purposes of God.
According to The Message translation of the Scriptures, Jesus puts it so bluntly, that
in this war, "there is no neutral ground. If you’re not on my side, you’re the enemy; if you’re not helping, you’re making things worse”.
Let us address quickly two immediate implications of the above. First is that you must decide on which side you want to be and immediately take your stand. If you have decided to be on the Lord's side, declare it and cross over at once. Moses announced tothe children of Israel,
"Who is on the LORD'S side? let him come unto me". And the Bible says all the sons of Levi not only made up their minds and
declared their stand for the Lord, they took practical steps by gathering themselves
together unto Moses (Exodus 32:26). You cannot claim to have decided for the Lord and yet stand aloof from His presence. You
cannot claim to be on the Lord's side and keep away from His house. If you claim to
be on the Lord's side and your closest and best companions are those who are not on the Lord's side, something is awfully wrong.
The second immediate implication is that since a decision for the Lord is a decision against Satan, those who have so decided
must urgently equip themselves to stand against the wiles of the devil.
That is the central point of Ephesians chapter Six. Moses told the children of
Levi, if you are on the Lord's side, the next thing to do is to get your sword! (Exodus 32:27). If you are on the Lord's side, get
equipped with the weapons of warfare that are mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. Get fortified through the
word of God and the energy that the Holy Spirit provides so that you do not become
a casualty in life's spiritual battles.
Thankfully, for those who are on the Lord's side, Jesus Christ has already conquered for us and has given us the victory ahead of every battle we would face. All we need to do is to take our stand in Him.
There is nothing to fear because "we are more than conquerors through him that loved us" (Romans 8:37). Hallelujah!

The GENERAL AND THE COUP PLOTTER

But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth. This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice. JAMES 3:14-16

Generals and coup de-tat,  the church is vast abandoning the truth as taught by the Scripture,  the instruction we received is to live in harmony but far from it, the church is full of coup plotters.

Coup is the act of usurping a legitimate government . What has the church got to do with this.
Simple, we have been caught in the viles of the devil. Rivalry at the highest order. Many people have been torn by the spear of self aggrandizement,  we have forgetting the world of Apostle Paul that says let this mind be in you as it is was Christ Jesus. Which mind, humility and servanthood. In today's church what do we have, plotting to bring others down.

Many prospective Paul have been killed the old prophets agenda.
The young ones have also resolved to silencing the old ones because they believe they are no longer in Vogue.

See the rate at which church are springing these days, many are as a result of exile.
You know when a new regime takes charge, it is either the former leader is killed, or jailed or sent into exile.

One of the greatest ministry in African,  CAC have been  plague by this great evil. Elders will gang up to destroy their pastor.
Youth are encourage to disobey their pastor.

I only cite the example of my beloved CAC, there are many other church being plague with this destructive tendencies.

The generals are failing GOD, they are busy building auditoriums, they spend time fighting for bishopship,  titles and referral but Where is the mind like Jesus.

Building without Discipleship is the reason we have many rebels in the house of God.

Every military strategy is employed in enthroning new general but it is shame.

Christians wake up, stop plotting evil in God's house, let me show you as I roundup this message

There are six things the Lord hates,
seven that are detestable to him:
haughty eyes,
a lying tongue,
hands that shed innocent blood,
a heart that devises wicked schemes,
feet that are quick to rush into evil,

a false witness who pours out lies
and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.
Proverbs 6:16-19.

watch it, GOD hate you if you continue with that evil of coup plotting.
GOD bless you.

..

THAT NAME

"Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which you are called?"(James 2:7).

The name of a person is the representation of the totality of that person. For instance, when you call someone by name, he answers by presenting his entire person, spirit, soul and body. So, a person's name is ultimately that person himself. The name of the Lord is the Lord Himself. When you call 'Jesus', the truth is that it is not His name perse that you need, but the person behind the name. The Pharisees and the Jewish council understood this perfectly. And so,
they made quite a lot of trouble to ensure that the disciples did not speak or spread the name of Jesus Christ. They knew very
well that to propagate His name is to entrench His person and what He stood for on the earth.
To make this point clearer, consider the Scripture that says, "The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth
into it, and is safe" (Proverbs 18:10). Certainly, no one can run into a name because a name is not like a house. But you can run to the person who bears the name. Therefore, we must always have it at the back of our minds that our association with the name of the Lord is an association with the person and character of the Lord.
The import of the foregoing is that if we are called by God’s name, the world will judge us by His name. The Christian is therefore under divine and moral obligation to live up to the name of the Lord by which we are called. Here is what I mean. Every time you are called a Christian, the name of Christ and by extension, His person is projected. And then, Christ comes on trial in your life.
Everything you do is automatically measured against the person and character of Christ. If your life is right and lines up with the word of God, Christ is glorified in you. But if not, the Lord is blasphemed in you.
This is why the Bible says that all who identify with the name of the Lord should depart from iniquity (2 Timothy 2:19). A
departure from iniquity mean that we run away from every behaviour that we have not learned from Christ. Living like Jesus in thought, word and deed is what will make us worthy of being called by His name. That, every Christian must commit to with all seriousness.
