YE WHO HAS A EAR!

"When people tell you, “Try out the fortunetellers. Consult the spiritualists. Why not tap into the spirit-world, get in touch with the dead?” Tell them, “No, we’re going to study the Scriptures. ”People who try the other ways get nowhere—a dead end! Frustrated and famished, they try one thing after another. When nothing works out they get angry, cursing first this god and then that one, Lookinwg this way and that, up, down, and sideways—and seeing nothing, A blank wall, an empty hole. They end up in the dark with nothing" (Isaiah 8:19-22,The Message).

Today's Scripture verses from the book of Isaiah taken from The Message translation is a full sermon on its own, requiring little or no amplification. The message has been brought down to earth, and he who has ears to hear should be attentive to what the Spirit is saying to us. I urge you to read that passage again, and then again, and again. Apply every sentence to your life vis-a-vis what you have gone through and what you may be currently going through.

When he was 4-years-old, Colton claimed he saw Heaven and sat on Jesus’ lap. Now,
you can read his story in a book, “Heaven Is For Real.”
Colton Burpo , who almost died at age four when his appendix burst, says he met his dead
sister in Heaven and “sat on Jesus’ lap.” The remarkable thing is, Colton’s parents, Todd and
Sonya , had never told him about his sister, who Sonya miscarried a year before Colton’s birth.
They were astonished by his story, as are we! But, are his visions real or made up in his
dreams?
After his appendix burst and undergoing two emergency surgeries, Colton, of Imperial,
Nebraska, was hanging on by a thread. While his parents watched his procedure from the
viewing room, their son was up in Heaven, meeting his unborn sister and looking down at
them praying.
“She looked familiar and she started giving me hugs and told me she was glad to have
someone from her family up there,” Colton says of the encounter with his sister. “She doesn’t
have a name though, she said they never gave her one. But she can’t wait for her mom and
dad to come to Heaven to meet her.” Incredible.
His parents, who says their son looks “dead serious” when he describes what happens to him,
were once again shocked when Colton says he saw his great-grandfather, “Pop,” who had
died 30 years earlier. But, Pop wasn’t an old man. Colton said he recognized him from a
picture of when Pop was young. Interesting thought.
Colton, now 11, says his visions became more clear as time went by. “I remember Jesus,” he
says, “there’s streets of gold and a lot of colors. I sat on Jesus’ lap and then I just felt safe.
God, he is the biggest one in Heaven, he can hold the world in his hands.” Who also
mentioned that everyone has wings and can fly, except for Jesus, who hovers up and down.
Sonja, who is a teacher, initially had her doubts about Colton’s vivid recollections, but local
pastor Todd insists: “I am convinced he was in Heaven.” Now the Burpos have released a book
about Colton’s experience called Heaven Is For Real , which has sold more than a half a million
books and is a New York Times Best Seller.

Before I lead you into taking the following prayer points, know this truth, Jesus had won the battle over satan and his cohorts, whatsoever thing you are going through have being highly subsidized. I want you to pray with holy anger.

* Spend 30minutes praising God for everything He has done for you in he past, present and what He do as you appoach the throne of grace.

* ask that He forgives your sin

* Powers that have besiege my life, you are cut down in the name of Jesus
* I decree evil loads that kept have besiege my paths, catch fire in the name of Jesus
* Witch arrow in my head, backfire in the name of Jesus
* I receive my deliverance from every waster spirit in the name of Jesus
* Wasters arrow upon my breakthrough, get out by fire in the name of Jesus
* I destroy every evil embargo upon my progress in the name of Jesus
* Power of my father house, catch fire and die in Jesus name
* Oil of uncommon breakthrough fall on me in Jesus name,
* Ancient serpent of my fathers household die in the name of Jesus
* Evil grip upon me, wither in the name of Jesus.

3 LEVELS OF RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD

"To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory" (Colossians 1:27).

I am always excited to know that God is ever interested in a sustainable and dynamic relationship with man. Today, I want us to consider three levels of that relationship.

The first is that God wants to be for you at all times. It is always a wonderful and reassuring thing to have God on your side in this wicked and unjust world. The Bible says if God be for you, who can be against you? A whole lot of things might try to work against you, but when God is for you, nothing can succeed against you (read Romans 8:31-39).

The second is that God wants to be with you. This is a step higher than God being for you because it is possible for God to be for you from a distance. But when God is with you, you experience His very presence which is quite marvellous. Of Joseph, the Bible says repeatedly that God was with him (read Genesis 39:1-6). The result was that Joseph prospered exceedingly and enjoyed surprising favours even in the midst of afflictions.

But all the above cannot compare with God being in you. God in you is the ultimate - the ultimate purpose of the Almighty from the beginning. That puts us in the class of God, and that was the life Jesus Christ came to demonstrate. Then the Bible says Christ (God) in you is the hope of glory. This is the greatest mystery of all times, that God could make His abode, not just among us, but right within us.

The Scripture confirms this severally, that you are His house (Hebrews 3:6), His temple (1 Corinthians 3:16) and His habitation (Ephesians 2:22). You were born to be His dwelling place, and until God finds a home in you, your life is yet to begin.

Today again, God stands knocking at the door of your heart. Would you open up and let Him in or would you leave Him out there in the cold?

PLEASE HELP

"Rescue the perishing; don’t hesitate to step in and help. If you say,

“Hey, that’s none of my business,” will that get you off the hook?
Someone is watching you closely, you know— Someone not impressed with
weak excuses" (Proverbs 24:11-12, The Message).
We all know how to come up with excuses why we are not lending a
helping hand to a friend or neighbour in need. Sometimes we claim that
we are crippled by insufficient resources. At other times, we talk of
how busy we are and blame the time for chocking away kindness from our
heart. Again we might come up with the excuse of how undeserving of
our help the fellow in need is. And the list goes on. But you know,
God is never impressed with all those excuses. As far as God is
concerned, most of our excuses are either lame or barren most of the
time.
First, if you are waiting until you have sufficient resources before
you lend a helping hand, you may have to wait forever because
resources would never be enough for anyone who is alive and well. The
more resources you have, the more needs you will have to meet. When
you did not have a car, you complained of how insufficient your income
is and that you are not in a financial position to help others. Now
that you have a car, you are still saying you are not in a financial
position to help others and your excuse is that you have got things to
fix in your car. When you own a jet, you will still not be in a
financial position to help others because, then your excuse will be
that it is not easy to maintain a jet.
So where does that leave us? Now is the time to help others with what
you have. As I always say, when you have nothing, and that nothing of
yours feeds you, pays your house rent, maintains your children in
school, puts gas in your automobile, and does many other things, that
'nothing' is powerful and adequate enough to make you of a little
blessing to your neighbour in need. Someone might say, "I only manage
to survive", and I will say, "Go ahead, manage to bea blessing to
someone else also".
To those who think certain people do not deserve their help (we all
think so sometimes, don't we?), my response is that God has got enough
reasons not to bless us as well, but He keeps showering His blessings
upon us. The Bible says He gives his best - the sun to warm and the
rain to nourish - to everyone, regardless: the good and bad, the nice
and nasty, the righteous and the wicked. We all are called to live
that God-kind of life, showing mercy and kindness even to the
undeserving.
May the good Lord help us all and give us the faith and wisdom to do
the good we can while it is still day.
