HE MADE THEM MALE AND FEMALE

"Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD" (Psalms 119:1).

The will of God defines the whole extent of our conducts and obligations, both as individuals and as a church in this present world. I shall not be tired of emphasising the point that the Bible remains the fundamental tool for ascertaining and understanding the will of God. When you live according to the word (law) of God, you are living in the will of God. Let us

apply the written word of God to the issue of marriage.

We know from the Bible that whereas many saints of God married more than one wife, the doctrine of monogamy, that is, the principle of one man one wife is the basic will of God for mankind. Human cultures and the exigencies of life may lead to polygamous relationships in various parts of the world, but God’s consistent will as revealed in Scripture is that "they

two shall become one" (Ephesians 5:31). When you look at Titus 1:6, you get a clear impression that only the husband of one wife is blameless before God.

It is highly suggestive that the first polygamist in the Bible was also the first murderer (Genesis 4:19-23). When you apply the law of first mention in biblical interpretation further, you get to understand that God made only one wife for man. Jesus applied this law when he posited that the issue of divorce and polygamy is not right, saying, "Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male [man] and female [woman]" (Matthew 19:4). From this we also know that it is a waste of time to engage in fruitless prayer asking to know whether homosexuality and gay marriages conform to the will of God. God made them male and female.

Period.

We also know from the Scriptures that marriage is ordained for human partners. Jesus said, "The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage" (Luke 20:34). It is absolutely inconsistent with God’s will for a human being to 'marry'  or have sexual relations with any type of animal.

No argument on gay rights, right to marry your dog, or whatever form of human rights can change what is written. The is no need to pray about it: beastiality has never been and will never be the will of God.

How do you get your life to fulfill the will of God? It is by walking in the word of God, for the word of God is the will of God.
