God made sure king Ahasuerus could not sleep because He was determined to lift Mordeccai into his season of jubilee. He (King Ahasuerus) that commanded 127 provinces, could not command one hour’s sleep. God is sending me to announce to you that anybody holding the keys to you promotion shall not rest till they allow themselves to be used for your lifting. Also note this Latin phrase: Cunctando restituit rem – He conquered by delay.’ Yes, a delayed reward is not a denied reward. Mordeccai’s reward was delayed but not denied. There are times God conquers by delays. Don’t forget that God had to kill the entire first born of Egypt because His covenant people had to be released after about 400 years. Indeed, if need be, somebody will die for you to get to your Promise Land. When Pharaoh was stubborn, did he not become a man without a grave? What can God not do for you? Who can God not inconvenience for you? The trinity also made sure that King Nebuchadnezzer could not sleep because an operation concerning Daniel’s destiny was going on (Daniel 6:18).
