"Therefore thus saith the LORD, who redeemed Abraham, concerning the house of Jacob, Jacob shall not now be ashamed, neither shall his face now wax pale" (Isaiah 29:22).
God is for
us. He has always been. This is why He continues to send messages of
love and redemption to us from time to time. He wants you to have peace,
joy and abundance of prosperity. He wants it to be well with you and
for you to prosper in those good things you lay your hands upon. I have
found that if God were to be the only factor to be considered, there
will not be a single problem in our world. Even then, in the world of
those who put their faith in Him, God's grace and power of redemption
make it possible to live a fulfilled life. His covenant of redeeming
grace that is ever at work ensures that problems and afflictions are not
permanent tenants in our lives.
As an
evidence to confirm what God is able to do for you from now henceforth,
the testimony is given of Abraham, the great ancestor of the Jews whom
God redeemed. God began with Abraham by redeeming him from idolatry and
from among the idolaters and workers of iniquity with whom he lived. God
redeemed him and brought him into a new experience that turned him into
the acclaimed father of faith. God blessed him, made him great and also
made him a blessing. And then, to cap it up, God gave Abraham and his
wife Sarah a son appropriately named Isaac to give them joy and laughter
in their old age. The birth of Isaac was also to ensure that all divine
promises to Abraham were fulfilled. God set what He did for Abraham as a
pattern of what He would do for all who would believe in Him as Abraham
believed, regardless of their age or any other limiting human factor.
To
make the promise sure, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ to redeem mankind
from every curse, from afflictions and from every power of darkness so
that we may access the blessings with which He blessed Abraham
(Galatians 3:13-14). Because of what Jesus Christ has done in coming to
this world and paying the price for our redemption with His death on the
cross of Calvary, you don't have to continue to suffer under the devil.
You can be free from that sin. You can be made free from that
affliction. You can be rescued from that imminent shame, disgrace and
disappointment. For the Lord God has assured in His words to us today
that you shall not be ashamed, neither shall your face wax pale. No more
shall you be confused, not knowing what to do. Cry out to Him right now
and say, "Lord, fulfill your words in my life".
Believe
God my beloved and go forth with the confidence of someone who is on
the Lord's side. Face the future with hope and with the assurance of one
who has the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob on his side. He did not
fail the patriarchs of old because He is a faithful God who keeps
covenants. He has ever been the confidence of the saints in all
generations. He will not fail you, neither will He forsake you. Only be
diligent to do your part by living for Him and obeying His words. Be
sincere with Him, don't walk in deceit before Him because you can never
outsmart the all-knowing and all-seeing God. It shall be well with you
this year.
