APOSTOLIC WARNING TO PASTORS AND CHURCH LEADERS - Emma Omon

In Acts 20:18-20, Paul the Apostle warns Pastors and Church leaders saying "So guard yourselves and God’s people. Feed and shepherd God’s flock—his church, purchased with his own blood —over which the Holy Spirit has appointed you as leaders.  I know that false teachers, like vicious wolves, will come in among you after I leave, not sparing the flock. Even some men from your own group will rise up and distort the truth in order to draw a following" (NLT).

I have noticed that whenever a minister of God posts a message on social media warning the church against misleading teachings on grace some recruits quickly jump in with rude comments telling the poster to stop attacking grace message.

Let me state emphatically that no true minister of the gospel will oppose or attack authentic message of grace. What is disturbing though and must be stopped is the emergence of a cult-like group of misguided zealots, grossly unskilled in the word of righteousness, with little or no understanding of the true meaning of grace and are going about spreading a false, misleading and dangerous concept of grace. One of such zealots said recently that repentance is not for new testament believers because grace has covered all our sins including the past, present and future sins. In other words, he was saying it doesn't matter what you do as a believer, even if you commit murder or defraud your neighbour grace has covered for you. When asked about 1 John 1:9 which says "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness", the zealot said Apostle John was not talking to believers but unbelievers. Then he became embarrassed when he was quickly reminded that the Epistles (Letters) in the New Testament were written by the Apostles to the church and not to unbelievers. This is what we are talking about! Quacks in ministry shouting all over the place, misrepresenting Jesus and mishandling the gospel of grace!

MY QUESTION to those who say repentance is not relevant for New Testament believers and that grace has covered past, present and future sins for New Testament believers is this: WHY DIDN'T GRACE COVER FOR ANANIAS AND SAPPHIRA WHEN THEY WERE JUDGED FOR THEIR SINS? Or are they saying Ananais and Sapphira were not New Testament Believers?

The devil is a liar! There's no doubt that the devil is now using some distorted versions of the message of grace to cause distraction in the body of Christ.

I fully understand what some of the leading voices preaching against repentance are trying to achieve. A good number of them mean well. They've seen that many Christians are living under the condemnation of sin and they want to liberate them from sin consciousness but the way some of these voices are going about it is very misleading. They are trying to use error to correct error! And when someone points out their error they say he is attacking the message of grace. Sad!

.... I'll be back!
