HAMAN MUST FALL

"And Haman told Zeresh his wife and all his friends every thing that had befallen him. Then said his wise men and Zeresh his wife unto him, If Mordecai be of the seed of the Jews, before whom thou hast begun to fall, thou shalt not prevail against him, but shalt surely fall before him" (Esther 6:13).

It is interesting how much is known in the camp of the enemy about the measure of grace and power God has bestowed on His children. If you are a believer, understand that Satan knows you more than you know yourself, and he will always try to exploit your knowledge deficit. Of course, the enemy will not readily acknowledge the good things he knows about you.

He likes to pretend and ignore the facts so that he could try his luck against unsuspecting and ignorant believers. But deep down, the enemy knows that the believer is more than a conqueror and that the weakest saint is far above the highest in the kingdom of darkness (Ephesians 2:6).

This is the truth expressed by the counselors of Haman in today's Bible verse. After hearing how the events of his day went, his wise men and his wife told him plainly that he had "begun to fall" and that he won't prevail. It is noteworthy that those confronting him with this truth were Zeresh, his wife and companion in wickedness, and his wise men who were his partners in devising evil. In plotting against Mordecai, Haman had bitten more than he could chew and he was now set on a path of destructive collusion with forces that would finish him.

Since they showed up in his life, the wise men of Haman and Zeresh his wife had always given him wrong counsels. One could say that they were the ones who really brought out the devil in him, urging him on to kill, destroy and perpetrate wickedness. But on this one occasion, they told Haman the truth! And what truth? That you cannot fight a true child of God and prevail. No one, I repeat, no one can prevail against a true child of God. At the end of the day, when the curtains are drawn on any contest, the child of God will always win.

May I use this opportunity to warn everyone out there playing the role of Haman. In case you are reading this and you happen to have laid a charge against a child of God or a man of God for that matter, I counsel you to backtrack immediately. It is a futile adventure because you can never prevail. If that fellow is a true child of God, you are treading a dangerous and slippery route that will yield no positive results. In fact, if care is not taken, you may not be alive to tell the story.

Today, in the name of Jesus Christ, I proclaim the fall of every Haman in your life. Because you are the seed of God, I announce that your Haman shall not triumph over you. Even if he has risen to the highest level in his manipulations against you, it is only that he may fall to the lowest place. Confess these words of the prophet: "But the LORD is with me as a mighty terrible one: therefore my persecutors shall stumble, and they shall not prevail: they shall be greatly ashamed; for they shall not prosper: their everlasting confusion shall never be forgotten" (Jeremiah 20:11).
