God Can Do Both Great And Small

Dr Segun Oshinaga
“And Asa cried unto the LORD his God, and said, LORD, it is nothing with thee to help, whether with many or with them that have no power: help us, O LORD our God; for we rest on thee, and in thy name we go against this multitude. O LORD, thou art our God; let not man prevail against thee.”
2 Chronicles 14:11
God can do so much with so little. Whether it is a little problem or earth-shaking calamity, divine help is always available to those who know and walk with God. It is God’s help that enables us to snatch victory out of the jaw of defeat. Without God’s help and mercy, it is possible to snatch defeat out of the jaw of victory.
The story of Asa is instructive for us. He was confronted with a larger and superior army. He knew if it was soldier for soldier, he would be defeated. He cried out to the Lord for help. Maybe you can identify with Asa today. People with far more influence and resources are standing in your way to purpose and destiny; An implacable enemy who has vowed to destroy you; a problem that makes your brain seem like an empty mash; an assignment that requires far more time than you have; whatever it is, there is help for you if only you will seek the Lord.
“So the LORD smote the Ethiopians before Asa, and before Judah; and the Ethiopians fled.”
2 Chronicles 14:12
In answer to the prayer of Asa, help came from heaven. God over-rode all natural laws to deliver victory for His people. If only you will hand over that problem to God today. The problem many of us have is that we are limited by natural laws. We allow our fears and senses to trap us in defeat. We become limited by what we see and hear. We surrender too quickly. I may look bad and victory may be inconceivable. The enemy’s threats and show of force may be real but divine help is just a prayer away.
God delights in coming through for His people. God is an expert in turning seeming failure to success. Never give up till God comes through. Hang in there, help is on the way.
