Mockery is a wicked and mean strategy of opposition. Men that cannot stand mockery cannot see their vision prosper. If you have a vision, get ready for mockery and for opposition. But bless God for Nehemiah. The more they mocked, the more he worked.

"So built we the wall and all the wall was joined  together unto the half thereof for the people had a  mind to work." Nehemiah 4:6

My God, my God, their minds were not discouraged or even give up. They had a mind to work.

Men admire strength of character. Everyone likes strong men. Stop talking about your hurts, disappointments and difficulties. You do not attract sympathy when you do that. All you do is let people know that you can be treated badly. If one person could do it, then others can. If everybody hates you, why should I not hate you too? Do not advertise your hurts. People do not respond to weakness.

Nobody wants to be part of a sinking ship. Whenever you let people know that you are sinking, they are going to run from you as if from a plague. That is people's natural attitude.

The resources available to you are so tremendous that you can triumph over any obstacle, no matter how bad. Our problem is that we forget that we are overcomers, always overcomers; overcoming obstacles, overcoming everything the devil can throw along our paths.

I like the story of the British Admiral who determined to climb Mount Everest the highest mountain in the world. After months of preparation, a group of friends organized a banquet in his honour. The Admiral put up a photograph of Mount Everest on the wall behind his seat. When it was time for him to speak, he stood up and turned to the photograph behind him. He said, "Mount Everest, I am going to climb you and get to the top. You are not growing any bigger or taller but I am. My mind is growing, my faith is growing, and my resources are increasing. I am going to climb you, easy. So easy, I will not know I am climbing a mountain."

You know something? He climbed that mountain in record time. You too can climb the mountains of your life. Dr. Robert Schuller said, "When faced with a mountain, I will not quit! I will keep on striving until I climb over, find a pass through, tunnel underneath - or simply stay and turn the mountain into a gold mine, with God's help."
