TOTAL RECOVERY 4 - A.T JOEL

The second in the 4Ps series is PURSUIT.

Spiritual pursuit takes place when you put your prayer into action by moving upon what you believe in. David prayed and then he acted in faith.

In Aramaic, the word for faith is faithing, which means ‘faith that is acting.

Faith acts, faith is not faith unless it is moving and living faith, Heb 11:1.

David pursued his enemies by acting upon what God said to him in 1 Sam 30:9, following through with what God had spoken for Him to do. He didn’t not sit idly, hoping for something to happen. He pursued his enemy, and God gave him the victory.

God girds us with strength to the battle, and He will subdue those who rise up against us  Psalm 18:39.

The deeper you go in the spirit, the more you find out that you’re still on the surface, Psalm 42:7.

Every miracle that took place in God’s word happened with action on the part of the individual who was in need, Exodus 14:15-16, Deut 2:31.

3 KEYS TO GODLY PURSUIT
You will face opposition; you will meet resistance. You must overcome the challenges you face. Phillipians 3:13-14 gives the keys to obtain total recovery through pursuit,

1. Forget what is behind you and what has happened in the past.

2. Reach forward to what is ahead or stretch out to attain your promise.
Let your faith in God flourish. stretch beyond what you have believed before knowing the everlasting arms of the Lord surround you.

3. Press Forward the mark. The Greek word for ‘press forward’ means to reach with all your might. When you reach it, you start pushing against it. Allow nothing to keep you back from what belongs to you in Christ.

As you pursue in faith, understand that nothing becomes dynamic in life until it becomes specific.

For great results to come out of your life, you must hear the word of God, read the word, protect the word, keep the word and make sure your life is filled with the word, Proverbs 4:20-22.

As you build your life upon God’s word, asking will be a natural outcome. Prayers and meditation upon God’s Word activates your faith, James 4:2

Let me round up with two of my favourite scriptures, Isaiah 41:10 and Daniel 11:32

It is time to pursue all that God has set in store for us, He is our Redeemer, and He will help us. The Lord is with you as He was with David and his 3D’s army.
